Things the Aclu don't want Christians to know.

October 7th 2007 03:06
It's Autumn now, Christmas is less that 3 months away, it's not to early to start planning for how you will celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus this year. It's not to early for the Aclu to start planning their propaganda blitz of, freedom from religion, and Americans United For Separation of Church and State either. But ask youself this question what is Christmas about any way? Is it about Santa Clause? Is It about Rudolph? Is it about having a beauitful tree all decorated with silver and gold, and sparkling lights?

Is it about all the presents that's under the tree, that the kids can't wait to open? Is it about exchanging gifts, I get you something, you get me something? NO!, NO!, Christmas is not about any of that stuff.

Christmas is about the birth of Christ, and we should put Christ back in Christmas. Don't let the merchants get away with Xmas this year. Tell them if Christ is not allow, we will go where he is allow to do our shopping.

Lets not let the Aclu deny Christ his birthday this year either, lets put up those Nativity scenes this year right on the public places. There is a way you can do that, and the Aclu can't stop you. As long as you add a secular symbol you can have a Nativity scene. The Supreme Court considers a publicly sponsored Nativity Scene standing alone Unconstitutional, but Constitutional if a secular symbol is also displayed.

So lets get those Nativity Scenes out there with Joseph, Mary, Baby Jesus, and the wise men, with Rudolph in the background, lighting up the manger,or any other secular figure you can think of that pertains to Christmas.

Sing to your hearts content Silent Night, Holy Night and all the other Sacred songs, and long as you throw in Rudolph the red nosed Reindeer, or some other secular song. It doesn't have to be a equal amount either just put some in.

In a Salt Lake City case, the majority of the songs sung by students during a public high school-sponsored event were Christian or religious, and yet the court stated the Christmas pageant was constitutional because it contained some secular holiday songs. Thus, a pageant containing Christmas songs with religious content presented as part of a publicly sponsored event is constitutional so long as the pageant also includes some secular holiday songs. Similarly, if the public school is hosting a talent show or some event where students are permitted to select their own songs, an individual student may sing a religious song.

For to long we have let the Aclu scare us into not celebrating Christ's Birthday, they have stolen our right to do so. And as long as we do nothing, they will keep on doing it. If they truly fight for the rights of individuals why don't they fight for our right to have a religious nativity scene that the Supreme Court has said is Constitutional.

But the Aclu is a anti-religious group, that don't care for the rights of all Americans, just the ones that are none religious. That fact has been proven time and time again. They are saying no to Jesus, and they are saying no to mine, and your rights. Can someone cite a case where the Aclu actually fought for the right of christianity?

If I asked the question can someone cite a case where they fought against Christianity, there would not be enough time to read it all. The Bible said the thief came not but to kill, steal, and destroy, and the Aclu has killed, stolen, and destroyed the rights of Christians to worship God in a free manner. And has limited our right to celebrate his Jesus's Birthday.

So in closing I have given you some ideas on how to get around the Aclu, Please pass these on to all that you know, knowledge is power. Maybe someone would like to put up a nativity scene this year in a public area, now they can do it legally, and in the face of the Aclu. If some governmental official is threatened by the Aclu, then let this person know that Liberty Counsel will provide free legal information and that Liberty Counsel will not charge to defend the case.

Ok, put that straw man back in the closet...you are wrong, and in all likelihood you know you are wrong...the ACLU defends everyone's rights (I am a member) but because they challenge your dominionist/theocratic vision of America, you feel the need to demonize them.

Here is a list of the ACLU defending religion.

THE ACLU FIGHTS FOR CHRISTIANS

The ACLU fights just as hard for INDIVIDUAL free exercise of religion as the ACLU fights against GOVERNMENT endorsement, sponsorship, or establishment of religion. Despite this fact, many people spread misinformation about the ACLU around the internet, innocently and maliciously, falsely claiming the ACLU is anti-religion or anti-Christian.

This list of FACTS counteracts that misinformation. These links represent just a few of the many examples of the ACLU defending the free speech and free exercise rights of Christians (for purposes of this list, the word “Christian” means a person who self-identifies as “Christian”).

In every example, the ACLU is defending the right of a Christian to speak as a Christian or to practice Christianity.

Here is the current version of this EVER GROWING list:

ACLU Champions Religious Freedom Of Mormon College Student

ACLU Fights for Christian Church's Mission to Feed the Poor

ACLU Joins Falwell To Fight For Church Incorporation Rights

***This list taken from the website aclufightsforchristians.com, a site put up to counter the misinformation spread.

So get a grip, get a clue, and realize that freedom isn't just the freedom to be like you, and quit supporting an agenda that threatens the freedom of all of us.

WOW, I didn't know they did so much good, well I guess I will change my mind, Not ,that doesn't mean any thing if one time you destroy something and then try to put a band aid on it. What about Christmas, what about my right to free speech in public places. Why don't you defend my right to say God.

When you say fight against government sponsorship of religion, let me remind you that this Government of the United States of America is for the people, by the people, we the citizens of the United States are the Government.

The ACLU is a anti-religion group and you prove it. Christianity is not allowed freedom any where in public places because the ACLU is so quick to protect poor little atheist, that don't even believe any way.

Protect the poor dumb people from something they don't even believe in. What a waste of time, when you could be spending it doing something really good.
