Liberals in Conservative clothing.

As the republican party searches for its Nominee for the 2008 election, there is not many true Conservatives to pick from. The most well know Candidates are weak on the Conservative views that the base demands.

Most do, or in the past have supported liberal views, that our conservative party does not, and will not support. Most are Liberals in Conservatives Clothing.(Wolves in Sheep's Clothing)

Rudy Giuliani is pro-choice, supports strict gun control, supports same sex marriage. Doesn't sound like a Republican to me, I think he should be running on the Democrat ticket.

John McCain is more on the lines of a conservative, but has made some very big mistakes, such as, campaign finance reform, bipartisan compromise on judicial nominations, and he was on the wrong side of the immigration bill.

Mitt Romney claims to be conservative, but his past beliefs have changed, some say in the right direction since he used to hold many of the liberal view. He is a flip flopper, but now he is flopping in the right direction.

Fred Thompson is a conservative in every way except, he refused to vote on a constitutional amendment to ban same sex marriages. He would have been a perfect candidate if not for that. (He is my Second Choice)

Mike Huckabee is in my opinion a true Conservative in every way, and the one I would support. He holds all the views that make our party great, and the best to lead this Country, because of his character, and moral beliefs. (He is my first choice)

Ron Paul is a Libertarian, and calls himself a conservative, he hold the liberal view of cut and run in Iraq, but on just about everything else he is a conservative.

Some in the Republican party say we should support who ever wins the Nomination, because they would still be better than a Democrat. I don't see the Conservative base supporting a candidate that is a watered down Liberal.

First, none of the cranks on the Repub ticket are "liberal." Second, it is because of the twisted criteria you and yours use to select a candidate that we ended up with the criminally incompetent Mr. Bush. If the Republican party doesn't crack and send up a third party fundamentalist, I fully expect the "base" to fall into line and vote for the party man. Still, I don't think it will be enough this time....get ready for President Hillary Clinton, folks..!

Jeff you should get down on your hands and knees and kiss president Bush's feet for saving your life from the Islamic Terrorist.

Bush was, and is the best man for America. Hillary will probably win, because you liberal have lied, and cried, and hide the truth. That will be a sad day in America.

Can you remember the dark days of Jimmy Carter, I can, thats what we will be going back to.
